Supporting my theory that Greta Van Susteren ruins everything, Louis C.K. recently revealed that the Fox News commentator was pretty much the reason he pulled out of hosting the Radio & Television Congressional Correspondents Dinner.

"I wasn't going to stand there and defend something I didn't really feel like doing anyway," he told TheWrap. "I wasn't that excited about it, I didn't want to cause them problems, I didn't think it was what they invited when they hired me. And I didn't think about it much."

In an early March blog post, Van Susteren called C.K. a "pig," and suggested the media join her in a boycott of the 68th annual Congressional Correspondents Dinner.

"It was like one morning I woke up, I heard there was static," said C.K. "I'm in production, so I have no reason to be in conflict with anybody right now."

$5 Stand-Up Special of the Day

Taking a cue from Louis C.K., comedian Aziz Ansari has announced that he'll be serving up his latest comedy special, Aziz Ansari: Dangerously Delicious, as a download for only $5.

The hour-long show was filmed during last year's Dangerously Delicious tour stop in Washington, DC, and it will be available directly from the Parks & Recreation star's website.

Although comedy labels and channels are probably finding the new independent model worrisome, it seems to be a growing trend.

C.K. experimented with a self-released special in December, and Louis C.K.: Live at the Beacon Theater surpassed the $1 million mark in December.

Last month, comedian Jim Gaffigan also revealed that he would be going the DIY route with his latest show, Jim Gaffigan: Mr. Universe.

Comedian Louis C.K. has stepped down from hosting the Radio & Television Congressional Correspondents Dinner, and some suggest that a blog post by Fox News' Greta Van Susteren had something to do with his decision.

The Louie star was set to host the dinner on June 8th, but according to his agent, "He just didn't want to do it anymore."

In a new blog post, Van Susteren called C.K. a "pig," and suggested the media join her in a boycott of the 68th annual Congressional Correspondents Dinner.

"He uses filthy language about women…yes, the C word…and yes, even to describe a woman candidate for Vice President of the United States," wrote the Fox News commentator. "It isn't just Governor Palin he denigrates. He denigrates all women and looks to the crowd to laugh."

Van Susteren made it glaringly obvious that she hasn't seen much of C.K.'s act, and as Warming Glow points out, someone should probably sit her down to watch the comedian's bit about the difference between boys and girls.
