Rihanna covers the May edition of Elle magazine and inside, the Bajan singer opens up about her reconciliation with Chris Brown.

"I respect what other people have to say. The bottom line is that everyone thinks differently," she says of the criticism. "It's very hard for me to accept, but I get it. People end up wasting their time on the blogs or whatever, ranting away, and that's all right. I don't hate them for it."

Three years ago, Brown was charged with felony assault after he violently attacked Rihanna just before the Grammy Awards. Despite their troubled past, the singers recently collaborated on two remixes.

She received a lot of backlash for working with her former boyfriend, but she's not apologizing: "Because tomorrow I'm still going to be the same person. I'm still going to do what I want to do."

A source recently told Page Six that her management had banned her from working with Brown, but she insists on doing it anyway.

"Rihanna is rebelling," says the insider. "She says they have been working her too hard and she wants some time to herself. They fear she'll secretly record an album with Brown, just to defy them."

Rihanna recently revealed that she would "love" the chance to play Whitney Houston in a film, and shared her personal attachment to the iconic singer's music.

"My first song that I remember falling love with was a Whitney Houston song: 'I Will Always Love You'," she told the Associated Press. "It was really inspiring and it made me develop a passion for music, so really, she's partly responsible for me being here in this industry."

Rumors of a biopic based on Houston's life circulated after her tragic death in February, often with Rihanna's name attached. Although it was only talk, the "What's My Name?" singer said she would like to take on the role.

"That would be something that I would have to give my entire life to do, because I would really want to pull it off," said Rihanna. "That's a huge, huge role and whoever does it has to do a good job."

Today, Rihanna was at a press conference for her new film Battleship, and denied that she's struck up a romantic relationship with Ashton Kutcher.

When a reporter asked if the Two and a Half Men star would be visiting her on the road, the singer was less than enthused.

"Wow, how disappointing was that question," she scoffed. "I'm happy and I'm single, if that's what you're really asking."

The Bajan singer was allegedly spotted leaving Kutcher's home at 4 AM last week, and reports suggested that the two celebrities may have been seeing each other for quite some time.

Come on people, Rihanna is so disappointed that you would even ask questions about her sleepover. They were probably just doing their nails and braiding each other's hair.

A Georgia restaurant called Chops & Hops has issued an apology after they dedicated a Black & Bleu Burger special to Chris Brown and Rihanna.

If that's not enough to leave a bad taste in your mouth, they had this to say about Friday's special: "Chris Brown won't beat you up for eating this unless your name starts with a R and ends with A."

After widespread criticism, the restaurant backed down and promised to make a donation to Project Safe, a domestic violence awareness and prevention organization.

"The owners of C&H would like to make sure everyone knows that we and our staff DO NOT SUPPORT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE," read a status on their Facebook page. "Many of us have been affected by domestic violence in some manner and realize that this is no joke."

Three years ago, Rihanna and Brown called it quits after he brutally attacked her. Despite their troubled history, the pair recently collaborated on two songs.

Katy Perry and Rihanna have been talking to the press about teaming up in the studio for a new song, and Perry recently threw a little shade Beyoncé's way while discussing the upcoming collaboration.

"I want it to be like that Eurythmics and Aretha Franklin song 'Sisters Are Doin' It for Themselves,' not 'Beautiful Liar,' said Perry during a BBC Radio 1 interview. "But I definitely want to do something that is so iconic."

The "Part Of Me" singer dissed Beyoncé and Shakira's collab, and added that there's been so much build-up to her and Rihanna's song that they "have to deliver."

That's an interesting comment to come from the singer who just covered Jay-Z and Kanye West's "Ni**as In Paris."

Plus, she's wearing blue hair and everyone knows that blue is totally Beyoncé's thing now.

This morning on On the Air With Ryan Seacrest, Rihanna called in to reveal why she decided to collaborate with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown on two new remixes.

"I thought about rappers, and I've done that so many times, and the hottest R&B artist out right now is Chris Brown," said the Bajan singer. "So I wanted him on the track."

The two singers worked together on a remix of Rihanna's "Birthday Cake," and also on a new version of his song "Turn Up the Music."

The collaboration drew widespread criticism since Brown was convicted of felony assault three years ago after he violently attacked Rihanna.
