Christopher Chaney, the man who hacked into the email accounts of several celebrities such as Scarlett Johansson, has pled guilty to nine felonies.

The charges include identity theft, wiretapping, and unauthorized access and damage to a protected computer. Prosecutors say he accessed more than 50 accounts belonging to celebrities.

On Friday, he agreed to a plea deal, which also requires him to give authorities his computers, external hard drives, and his cell phone.

Chaney, who used public information about celebrities to guess their passwords, was responsible for leaking the nude photos of Johansson in 2011.

His sentencing will be held in July.

Although prosecutors wouldn't confirm the number of felony hacking counts Chaney will plead to, they say he accessed more than 50 accounts belonging to entertainment industry figures.

Chaney said he hacked into Johansson's email account to get a nude photo that he planned to trade to one of the star's acquaintances. He later sent the infamous ScarJo nudes to two gossip sites and another hacker, causing an Internet sensation. There's no evidence that he made any profit on the pics.

Chaney's shady hacking technique involved using publicly available info about the celebs to guess the answers to their email security questions, and then setting up a secret forward to send copies of their e-mail to his own account.
