A group of scuba divers have a rather close encounter with a pair of humpback whales while floating in the ocean off the central California coast.
A recent sightseeing trip off the coast of Greenland turned into a harrowing experience for Jens Møller and a few friends. While filming an iceberg in the distance, a giant piece separated and fell into the water, unleashing a freak tsunami that quickly made its way towards the group's boat. They managed to escape the brunt of the waves, but the brush with death made for some haunting comments from Møller:
I've never been this close to dying. I have never been this close to dying before.
Pod Race of the Day: Participants in a whale-watching expedition launched from Dana Wharf in Dana Point, California, were treated to a once-in-a-lifetime sight: A 2,000-strong dolphin pod playing "race you to the deep end" with the boat.
Either that, or they were getting ready to ditch this planet and we should all be on the lookout for a fleet of Vogon spaceships.
