Surprise of the Day: Hungry Great White Shark Steals Fisherman’s Catch

A fishing charter in New Zealand recently got to experience “Jaws” in real life.

As one of the fishermen reels in his line, he notices the fish is actually half-eaten, and just seconds later, a giant great white shark pops up to finish what he started.

“Did you see that?” he shouts.

The video was uploaded to Captain Bucko’s Fishing Charters Facebook page on March 9, and in the comments the company says it’s the first great white they’ve seen in the Bay of Islands, an area off the northern coast of the country.

Looks like they’re gonna need a bigger boat.

While a huge marlin is being reeled in, it flies into the boat, giving one of the deckhands no choice but to jump into the water to avoid being skewered. I like how the two other guys don't seem to hardly notice. Priorities...

Give a bird a fish, and it'll eat for a day. Teach a bird to fish with a piece of bread, and it'll fish like a boss.

Mark Peters set out off the coast of Santa Cruz, California for a day of albacore fishing, and it's a good thing he brought his GoPro Hero2 HD camera. Nothing in this video is enhanced, in any way.
