Always looking for something to protest, members of the simply awful Westboro Baptist Church lined up outside of a Foo Fighters concerts in Kansas City, MO Aug. 22.

They didn't exactly say what their specific problem was, but they generally hate just about everything, so the Foo Fighters worked for an opportunity to test out their hateful signage.

Dave Grohl and company decided not to take it sitting down.

Well, they stayed seated, but the band members brought out a rather loud sound system and drowned out the jeers of the protesters with the sweet sounds of Rick Astley.

And all praise be to this guy:

And after that, we're sure Dave Grohl retreated to the comfort of his incredible rock star tour throne.

Well, we knew the violent protests against the now infamous anti-Muslim video weren't going to end with a statement from President Obama -- thousands of demonstrators currently are assaulting U.S. and Western diplomatic compounds in Tunisia, Sudan, and Yemen, and authorities are trying to quell the attacks with tear gas and guns.

Since Tuesday's fatal aggression by militants in Benghazi and Cairo, protests have spread to Afghanistan, India, Bahrain, Jordan, Iran, Iraq, Morocco, Kuwait, Syria, Pakistan, and Qatar.

The message of the American flag-burning protesters seems to be universal: "Death to America."

In Iraq, one banner read: "Freedom doesn't mean offending two billion Muslims."
