First: Anonymous 4Chan trolls posted a fake screenshot of a tweet by verified "Entertainment Tonight" that "confirmed" Justin Bieber had leukemia. Tweets from Kanye, Nicki Minaj, and Chris Brown seemed to support the news.
Then: Beliebers began posting pics and vids of themselves with their heads shaved in a global show of support hashtagged #BaldForBieber.
Miraculously: The rumors were false and the Biebs is just fine, and now supposedly, a bunch of tweens have no hair.
From a CNN iReport:
At the most recent Pep Rally for Waverly High School, located in Waverly NY…three white students were to perform a skit in black face, depicting Chris Brown and Rhianna most notibly. In this skit they would display acts of domestic violence as satire to an audience that included not only students but parents, faculty, and various members of the media and community leaders. None of them stopped the skit.
Kids these days. (Also, the faculty, and the parents, the classmates defending the skit...)
Michelle Dunaj, who is dying of leukemia, was Hawaii-bound for one of the last trips of her life. But the TSA in Seattle made it memorable for a different reason:
She called Alaska Airlines ahead of time to request a wheelchair and to ask how her medicines should be separated for the security line.
"I did everything they asked me to do, so I didn't think it would be an issue," she said.
But Dunaj says nothing went right at the security checkpoint. A machine couldn't get a reading on her saline bags, so a TSA agent forced one open, contaminating the fluid she needs to survive. She says agents also made her lift up her shirt and pull back the bandages holding feeding tubes in place. Dunaj needs those tubes because of organ failure. With other passengers staring, Dunaj says she asked for privacy and was turned down.
"They just said that it was fine; the location we were at was fine," she said.
TSA is responding to a request to look into the incident.
A feud between two East Sparta, OH, families has gone viral, thanks to home video that captures a father and son bullying 10-year-old Hope Holcomb, who suffers from cerebral palsy.
The video, captured by Hope's grandmother, shows William Bailey and his 9-year-old son mocking Hope's distinctive limp. Bailey claims his limp is due to a work related accident -- still no explanation for Bailey The Younger's limp -- and that the Holcombs have been equally ruthless, teasing his son about his seizures and ADHD.
Nobody is buying the excuses, and no decision has been made on whether charges will be filed, so Mr. Bailey's public shaming will have to suffice for now.
