There’s something about Google’s annual “Year in Search” videos that give you the chills every single time.

This one is no different.

Google also says we have made “trillions” of searches this year and has released stats on the most trending topics of 2014.

Robin Williams, the World Cup and Ebola were the top 3, followed by the missing Malaysia Airlines flight, the Ice Bucket Challenge and that annoying/addictive little game Flappy Bird.

The most searched person was Jennifer Lawrence, the top tech search was the iPhone 6, and the top athlete was James Rodriguez.

In case you missed any of it... here is the entire year crammed in 6.5 minutes!

In the 2014 edition of its annual video mashup of the year's top memes and memorable moments, YouTube brought together over 100 creators and enlisted the help of DJ Earworm for the soundtrack.

"Wired" has a good piece explaining the background on these Rewind videos and how this most recent one was created. There's also a behind the scenes video of the process, which kicked off back in July.

YouTube also released a list of the top trending videos of the year, with "Spider Dog" winning 2014, and the super viral catcalling video rounding out the top 10.

According to Pantone, the new year is shaping up to be all about one thing: wine. And we are ok with that.

Well, at least the color of wine. Marsala has been chosen as the Color of the Year for 2015.

And here's why:

Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness.

Every year since 2000, the color connoisseurs have been predicting the hue that they think "will resonate around the world" and best represents our current mood.

And after a year filled with Ebola scares, racial turmoil, riots, missing planes, the polar vortex, missile strikes, terror threats and sexual assault allegations, we certainly could use a nice glass of wine… or 5.

Husband and wife musical team Michael and Carissa Alvarado, aka "Us the Duo," has taken all the big earworms from 2014 and compressed them together into one 2.5 minute acoustic recap.

The couple is famous for their "#6SecondCovers" on Vine, and their popularity led to them becoming the first musicians on Vine to sign with a major label.

No matter how sick you are by now of songs like "Shake It Off" or "Happy," they make them sound pretty good.
