Totally Useful Ways Of Utilizing Floating Cat Hair (Comics)

Let's talk about cat hair. It is literally everywhere. If you have a cat (or some other pet), then you already know that you can't escape the hair. Sure, you can fight it and have a 'no pets on the furniture' rule, but in the end, those hairs will be there because they are everywhere. Cat hairs are on your clothes, even clothes you have yet to wear. They are on you the second you leave the shower, and sometimes, they're in your food. Cat hair is in the air you constantly breath -- cat hair can find its way ANYWHERE.

What can be done about this neverending hair attack? Well, you're in luck! In collaboration with popular Israeli artist, Ilana Zeffren, we bring you this creative and funny take on what you can do with all that cat hair floating around!

And if you more cat enjoyment, be sure to check out Ilana's questionnaire on how spoiled your cat is

Artist Photoshops Disney Characters Into His Photos, Living My Childhood Dream

Photoshop is a magical thing; a tool with which you can visualize all your wildest dreams come true, it's basically like a genie, but a massive tease. Speaking of genies, one guy has used Photoshop to make all of his childhood Disney dreams come true, and my inner child is so jealous. Samuel, a Spanish primary school teacher who likes to experiment with graphic design and photoshop in his spare time, has edited photos of himself to look like he is chilling with all our favorite childhood Disney characters. From watching TV with 101 Dalmatians to waxing Gaston's hairy chest, his creations are realistic, creative, and funny, all while invoking extreme nostalgia. Check out some of his best work below and tell me your inner child isn't also crying with envy!

Artist Creates Creepy AF Jewelry Out Of Barbie Doll Parts

Most little girls grew up with a Barbie or two (or fifteen in my case), and for many, it was their gateway into the world of makebelieve. Artists worldwide are using Barbie to inspire their creativity, but one has taken it to a potentially dark place. Jewelry designer Margaux Lange has created a Plastic Body Series art jewelry collection, in which she uses salvaged Barbie doll body parts combined with sterling silver and pigmented resins. According to her website, "The series is a result of Lange's desire to re-purpose mass-produced materials into handmade, wearable art. It is meant to examine and celebrate her own (as well as pop culture's) relationship with the icon known simply as: Barbie." I can't work out if it's beautiful or slightly serial-killer-esque. What do you think?

Artist Re-Creates Popular Cat Images In 100-Day Challenge

Meet the talented Em Paquin, an animation student who desperately wanted a cat. We came across some of her lovely re-created digital paintings of popular cat images online and reached out to ask her to explain the meaning behind this project and the goal of painting 100 cats.

Em explains that the project was originally titled, "Day __ of drawing cats until my parents let me adopt one." Em continues to reveal her longing for a cat of her own, "I wanted so desperately to adopt a cat, and being home for quarantine was the perfect time to introduce a new furball to the family. The only thing in my way was my parents who I've been living with, now that my college courses are online."

"These daily illustrations were a subtle way of voicing my wish to adopt a cat."

On day 21 of the project, Em brought home a new kitten named Beanie. However, Em realized how much she enjoyed drawing cats and wanted to push herself but taking it further, thus setting the goal of drawing 100 cats!

So, what will Em do the moment that goal is reached? Seeing as how she's already on Day 68, the 100th drawing isn't too far away.

"After that goal is reached, they will probably continue, maybe for a year, or maybe I won't ever stop."

Well, we're glad to hear that because we love them! Keep up the beautiful drawings, Em! Follow Em on Instagram for daily cat drawings!

Photographer Questions Modern Day Sexism By Reversing Gender Roles in Vintage Ads

"In a parallel universe" is a series of fictional images, recreated from real ads in the mad men era, that question modern day sexism: showing it through a humorous light to spark a conversation through role play by visual artist Eli Rezkallah "Last Thanksgiving, I overheard my uncles talk about how women are better off cooking, taking care of the kitchen, and fulfilling "their womanly duties". Although I know that not all men think that way I was surprised to learn that some still do, so I went on to imagine a parallel universe, where roles are inverted and men are given a taste of their own sexist poison." — Eli Rezkalla.
