Tired of just watching your favorite movies?

Well now you can wear them too, with Vans new "Toy Story" line and Nike's "Back to the Future" self-lacing do-hickies.

Van's "Toy Story" Shoes

Vans is keeping tight-lipped about this line despite some leaked pics, so we'll have to wait a bit longer until their release date of Nov. 29th to see the rest of them, but they definitely look cute.

Nike's Self-Lacing Shoes

Right now you could win a pair of Nike Self-Lacing shoes in an online lottery that's live today. According to CNN, you can purchase lottery tix online or through the Nike+ App if you live in the U.S. or Canada, "but a pair of the shoes will be auctioned in Hong Kong (Oct. 11), London (Oct. 14 & Oct. 17) and New York City (Nov. 12)."

The lottery ends on Oct. 11 and the lucky winners will be contacted on Oct. 17.

The shoes feature an "Adaptive Fit," which "senses the wearer and tightens or loosens accordingly."

Here's Michael J. Fox wearing them back in 2015:

So sing it with me now...

This action packed fan-made trailer finally touches on the part of Back to the Future we really wanted to see, how Doc got involved with a Libyan terrorist group. The editor included a list of all the movies that were used to make this video. See if you can recognize all of them:

This was made using clips from: Back to the Future, My Favorite Martian, Camp Nowhere, Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead, Dennis the Menace, Zero Dark Thirty, Argo, The Sum of All Fears, Syriana, Iron Man, Dazed and Confused and Munich.

This time, it's really, really personal.

It's been a busy couple of months for fans of Back to the Future. Not only is it the 30th anniversary of the original's release, but Oct. 21 will mark the exact date when Doc Brown and Marty McFly arrived in Back to the Future 2's future.

Many people are celebrating in different ways. Some are building awesome DeLorean golf carts. Some are helping you build your own hoverboard. And Christopher Lloyd put his lab coat back on.

Universal Studios decided to celebrate by putting together a trailer for Jaws 19, the movie featured at Hill Valley's cinema.

And it's a lot of fun to watch.

We've got to go back — to the golf course!

With the quick approach of Oct. 21 2015, which is the final date in Back to the Future 2, it seems like many people are looking to commemorate the event.

A team led by David and Vicki Heykants, John Perrin and Lucas Evanochko created this beautiful contraption to auction of for the Red Deer College's 30th Annual Golf Classic.

As they say in the videos description:

During a time of hoverboards and PhunkeeDucks, it only makes sense that we see a DeLorean golf cart.

...The only things missing are the gull-wing doors.

Detailed on the team's website, they show off the flux capacitor and the Mr. Fusion power source in the back. This thing has everything.

Take a look at a video of the whole beautiful thing:

Great Scott!

You may not know this, but Oct. 21 will mark the end date of the story in Back to the Future 2.

While we don't have huge hologram Jaws, self-lacing sneakers or hoverboards (At least not in any widely available, fun-looking form), we will get a special feature story featuring the likes of Christopher Lloyd reentering his role as Doc Brown.

This teaser is only a brief snippet of what we can expect when Universal rereleases the trilogy of excellent films (though the third is not-quite-as-excellent) on that notable date.

Until then you can just watch this brief trailer trying to unravel its mysteries about how Doc Brown will go about saving the world, and what exactly is causing the danger.

Probably some even more ancient Biff.

It feels like the closer we get to the end of 2015 (the year in which Back to the Future part II was set), the more anxious we are to see the full realization of the hoverboard.

The most recent example is this video wanting to delicately assist you in creating your own replica from the streets of Hill Valley. And it won't be the last.

The last we heard of it was this one that Lexus claims to have designed and built.

Remember that?

Well, this DIY video only goes as far as a step by step instruction on how to make a look alike of the famous prop, but it's still something neat to do.

Get off your lazy butt and go make a pretend hoverboard like an adult.

Hendo is introducing the world's first real working hoverboard.

So where does the HENDO hoverboard stand today? Well, about 1 inch off the ground. As you can see from the video above, the prototype is real and it works! But to see it hover in person, and better yet, to defy gravity by riding it, is something you need to experience as well.

With the support of the Kickstarter community, we all can. We need your help to put the finishing touches on the Hendo Hoverboard, to help us produce them, and to create places to ride them.

Hendo is looking for $250,000 in funding to refine the working technology from the prototype and start production. Pledges start at $5, but if you want your childhood dream to come true $10,000 will get you a real working Hendo Hoverboard.
