Man, oh man they delivered with the grade A banter. There's just no coming back from those responses.
Not all memes are fun and games. Some memes are meant to make you think. We found a goldmine of platitudes, carefully crafted by the internet's most profound pseudo-philosophers. Did you know the 'earth' without 'art' is just 'eh'? Pretty deep, right? A wise person once said, 'we live in a society.' Don't ask us what this means...you wouldn't get it.
Nothing melts our icy hearts like reading a story about a driver having to deal with some road rager that couldn't keep their stuff together, for like a minute (if that), and ends up being the butt end of a petty revenge. It's a beautiful thing, really. A lost art form.
All we're missing in this story about a Karen racking up a disgusting $16K cell phone bill while on vacation in some remote island, is a picture of what Karen's face looked like when she learned she was only being given $25 in credit toward the bill. Mind you, this is $25 in credit compared to the thousands ($14K) she was previously offered by a tremendously helpful call center employee. But no, Karen got unbelievably greedy (if not fraudulent), and rejected the kindness being shown to her. Suffice to say, she certainly paid the price.
If you've ever tuned into Evangelical Christian television, you're already aware of its inherently cringey qualities. But today we're here to offer up some vintage Christian cringe that feels like something right out of HBO's The Righteous Gemstones. The video comes courtesy of Twitter user @RebekaDawn, and it's an incredible spectacle of awkward snapping, dramatic beats, and some seriously goofy choreography. We've included the video below, along with some more wince-worthy Christian rap and some of the more clever and incredulous reactions. Our next move? Probably practicing these dances in the mirror.
It's not that hard to be a decent houseguest. All you have to do is sit there and not punch holes in the wall. And even if you do punch a hole in the wall, there are ways to apologize and repay your host. Apparently that's too hard for some houseguests who do unforgivably disrespectful things.
Some people are blinded by their own entitlement to such an extent that it's generally impossible to reason with them. This conversation was clearly destined to go nowhere from the start. The choosing beggar came out waving all the red flags. Also, the whole delivery demand situation was truly mind boggling.
Talk about some pathological lying. This Karen sounds like just a bit of a nightmare to end up working with. And after she gets herself fired from her old job she has the audacity to list her old employer (that she screwed over) as a reference? Someone's got to give Karen the reality check moment that not showing up to work has consequences, and her ridiculous storytelling is completely transparent. Check out some more juicy Karen content with this story about how a bridezilla Karen ended up looking like a pauper at her own wedding.
There are things that make you sad, there are things that make you cringe, and then there are things that mix these two distinct feelings together into one big mess that can only be labeled as "yikes". We challenge you to get through this collection of sad cringe posts, and once you're done check out some dank memes that will hopefully help you recover.
Sometimes we discover things that we didn't realize we were passionate about. For example, there's a right and wrong way to eat a burrito, and no one is allowed to argue otherwise. Sure, there are people out there making cursed foods from lucifer's larder all the time, but to go as far as to eat basic stuff the wrong way? That's asking for a fight.
Man oh man, nothing can bring the blood to a boil like having to deal with family members dishing out their toxic opinions on matters they were never asked to get involved with in the first place. This particular scenario involves a brother asking the morality defenders of Reddit's AITA community whether or not he was in the wrong for telling his sister to lower her dating standards based off the fact that she's a single mother.
Sometimes the blinding thirst takes control and an otherwise socially acceptable conversation takes an aggressive nosedive for cringe-inducing, sex-crazed face-palm city. These people need to reassess their Tinder pickup strategy as soon as possible; or they can keep providing us a steady procession of what not to do when you want to keep the proverbial 'unmatch' from striking.
Are you French? because Eiffel for you. Oui love horrible pick up lines here, and one of the best places for social ineptitude is the rash of dating apps that have exploded into app stores. They cater to practically every group and quirk to make sure there is something for everyone. But Tinder pickup lines can sometimes just be absolutely horrendous. Cringe isn't a strong enough word. More like violently shudder and try to shake off what those phrases did to me.
Since the dawn of marketing, businesses have bent over backwards to appeal to the hottest demographic cohorts of the decades. There's nothing they won't co-opt, no 'hip slang' they won't butcher just to sell you a bag of chips. It's fun to imagine a highly neurotic social media marketing 'expert' in 2020 studying Urban Dictionary, furiously scribbling 'thicc' and 'mad sus bro' into a giant ledger. Brands aren't the only ones attempting to communicate with Zoomers through memes. Parents and teachers are putting on their 'fellow kids' hats in a desperate move to appeal to distracted students—though we think these attempts can be somewhat wholesome.
We've put together some of our favorite examples of corporate marketing teams and distressed teachers taking a stab at memeing. Most of the time they totally fail, but a few of these made us chuckle.
Sometimes you're having a conversation with a human being that you otherwise thought was perfectly rational, and not prone to fits of blind and entirely irrational rage, and then they pull a fast one on you. This particular customer opted for being a waking nightmare. Fortunately, the tech support employee who fielded the situation kept their cool, and it all worked out in the end.
Florida, why are you like this?
Maybe it is something in the water or in the air, but for some reason, the police in Florida seem to consistently arrest the strangest people, and it always leads to a surreal headline that starts off with Florida Man and then continues to explain what they did this time around, almost as if it is always the same man from Florida.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg. Get lots more Florida Man headlines and let the sunshine flow through you.
