Creepy Stuff of The Day: Psychic Medium Set to Perform Live Exorcism on TV

This could either be really entertaining or really stupid. Probably both.

This Halloween Eve, psychic medium Chip Coffey and the reality stars of Ghost Asylum are going to try to cleanse the home in Missouri that inspired the 1971 film The Exorcist.

They are calling it Exorcism: Live!, which, despite the title, is not a musical.

Jodi Tovay, senior manager of development and production at Discovery Communications, sat down with People to give her thoughts on the upcoming show.

"This is the most dangerous night in television. When you're dealing with the spirit world, there are actual physical risks involved," she warns.

"It is not a hoax. This is a real story that happened and we are telling it. We want you to watch our show and prove us wrong. I dare you not to be scared."

Well, now you've convinced us! This is totally real and not a gimmick at all.

Spooky.

It seems like everything gets a "sexy" costume for Halloween nowadays.

You would think that after a sexy Donald Trump costume was made, the world would have reached peak sexy costume. But you'd be wrong.

Meet sexy Gandalf.

Tjitske Van Vark, an 18-year-old Australian high school student, posted photos of her amazing costume creation to Tumblr, and they blew up.

She wore the costume to school for "Muck Up Day," an Australian tradition where seniors pull pranks on the last day of school.

Tumblr even featured her photo on the front page.

Thank you, Tjitske. The Internet needed this.

Spoopy of the Day: Gruesome Halloween Yard Decorations Cause Concern in Ohio Town

The Addams family doesn't live in Ohio, but maybe a distant relative does?

This ghoulish family is causing quite a stir in their town with some very realistic Halloween yard decorations, including: an upside-down cross with cadaver, a mummified corpse hanging from a tree and a dead person on a spike.

To top it all off, the display is located just across the street from an elementary school.

In other Ohio news, a Halloween decoration turned out to be the corpse of a mutilated woman.

If you can think back into the far, far distant past, you might remember a little Internet nuclear explosion called The Dress.

Well for the low, low price of $46.95, you can turn that hot flash of virality into a Halloween costume that will roll the eyes of everyone around you.

Over at Yandy.com, they can make that particular dream come true.

Start the debate all over again in this "What Is The Color?" dress costume featuring a split blue/black and gold/white design that's sure to make you the talk of the part

Of course, it's not the most terrifying costume we've seen so far this year.

That honor goes to this horror:

But this dress one sure is the costume that we care the least about.

Burger King Might bring the black hamburger to America for Halloween.

Things might look bleak for Burger King come Halloween.

That is to say, they are possibly bringing a black-bunned burger to the states for October's celebration of all things spooky.

This is according to a Reddit post by well-named user bkleaks in which the tipster relays the information discovered looking over a new internal training site.

The leak discovered pictures and details about how to make something called the "'HA.1.LOWEEN' Whopper".

Of course, this is all very reminiscent of the black burger that Burger King sold last year in Japan.

In that case, the bun and cheese were dyed black with squid ink and most reviews said it didn't really change the flavor too much.

But, it still looks nasty.

Would you eat one?

Halloween's just around the corner!

And surely you've thought, "Hey, I'd love to dress up as a large lumpy potato with a horrifying black-eyed stare and a shock of colorful hair just to make the whole thing zing its way into the night terrors of children everywhere."

Well, you are so in luck! Some costume that slightly resembles one of those troll dolls from the 1990s, but more accurately looks like the untold insanity of pure evil, is now available from Joker's Masquerade.

Here's how they describe the thing:

This cute pink Troll Doll costume is both a charming and unusual fancy dress idea.

Includes a brown bodysuit with attached shoe covers, gloves and a rounded padded tummy.

A matching brown headpiece with stuffed nose, ears and a large grinning mouth is also included.

The headpiece is topped with a tuft of bright pink hair which can be styled to your liking.

Please don't dress like this for Halloween. You will surely get chased down the street by maddened villagers looking to destroy the thing they fear most.

"Kill it!" they'll scream. "Kill it with fire!"

Who knew PETA wanted to get into the Halloween costuming game?

By this time, you've all most likely heard of Cecil the lion and the American dentist who illegally killed him.

And also, you've maybe heard about the preeeeetty tasteless costume thrown together by costumeish.com so that Halloween revelers can celebrate in style. It looks like this:

The page says it includes "severed lion's head, smock with fake blood splatters, gloves with fake blood splatters, dentist tools in front pocket".

Hilariously, after a big outcry and even bigger petition, the page also says this:

Due to public outlash and petition launched by Doreen Harley and the almost 40,000 signatures along with the opinion of our company we will be donating 100% of the profit from our Lion Killer Costume to a Wildlife Foundation. Our intentions are not to make profit off the beloved Lion. However please remember, if our costume caused an immediate reaction such as disgust or anger to you just imagine how Cecil felt.

But that wasn't enough for PETA, because nothing's ever enough for PETA. The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals put their best, most vegan minds to the job and created a Halloween costume of their own called "Cecil's Revenge Halloween Costume".

Here's a picture of it again.

The product page describes it as such:

Halloween aficionados can turn the table on trophy hunters' ghoulish pastime with this cheeky new limited-edition costume. "Cecil's Revenge" features a dentist's uniform with a "Dr. Palmer" name tag, complete with a plush lion grabbing the dental coat from behind, leaving bloody claw marks. Accessorize with a drill, a toothbrush, or a toy crossbow.

Oh, and it also costs $140.

So just know that come Halloween, you have many options available to you

It's very surprising no one has put together a sexy Cecil the lion costume.

Romance isn't dead, but it sure does kill.

Alec Wells, of the Boys and Ghouls podcast, knew his girlfriend Katherine Canipe's favorite movie is Halloween. You know, the John Carpenter 1978 classic horror movie, featuring Michael Myers that pretty much began the heavily-sequeled serial killer movies.

Well, when it came time for him to put a ring on it, Wells decided to do it up as only the slasher flick could do. So he took Canipe out to Pasadena, where Carpenter filmed the movie and surprised her twice. Once with an engagement ring and once with an appearance from the dreaded masked killer.

Check it out here:

Oh, and just in case you didn't know they loved movies, their engagement photo looks mighty similar to Back to the Future.

For the fourth year in a row, Jimmy Kimmel has encouraged parents to make their kids cry, film it, and publish it online for all to see.

Here's a collection of some of the best submissions, according to Kimmel. And as terrible as it all might sound, the result is hilarious.
