In many ways, everyone on the planet would like to never hear the name Harambe again. We get it, ok? Dudes on Reddit think the gorilla getting shot is very funny. The joke is played.

But almost by divine providence, if you will, someone found a new way into the joke.

Reddit user agc4 is now the founder and first member of the Church of Latter Day Harambe, a new holy community that just received approval from the IRS.

As of now, we only have a letter addressed to the founder and not much more information on how to join the church because apparently the founder "lost" the letter. Not a great sign for the new religion.

Another Reddit user chimed in without to create your own church, too.

So as of now, we’re a little light on details about the Church of Latter Day Harambe. Until some more develops, enjoy this clip from Last Week Tonight With John Oliver from the time John started his own church, Our Lady of Perpetual Exemption.

If you live in the United States, you have a new president. The people have spoken, and they said that billionaire, reality TV-show host Donald Trump is how they want to ride out the next four years.

Look, this was a divisive election, and a very close one at that. As has been said many times, this wasn’t necessarily the time for a protest vote for, say, Jill Stein or Gary Johnson, but that doesn’t mean the Internet can’t find another third-party spoiler to bring America to its logical conclusion and elect a billionaire, reality TV-show host.

The Internet, because its nothing if not predictable, chose a new candidate: Dead-gorilla turned confusing-meme, Harambe.  That’s right, the gorilla who was shot dead after a child fell into his pen at the zoo received 11,000 votes in last night’s election. And that’s how game-show hosts are elected president, when people write in memes to be president.

So there you have it, folks. Reality TV-show host is president, and I am now this Tweet:

Oh Internet, how we loathe you sometimes.

Millions were disappointed after gullibly falling for an fake story indicating that "Harambe McHarambeface" won the naming contest for a baby gorilla at a Chinese zoo.

It all started when the crap-tacular Daily Mirror--who never checks the legitimacy of their sources--decided to pick up the story. The "source" was the fictitional "Boston Leader" news website, and the internet ran with it from there:

The truth quickly came out and hearts were broken everywhere...

...and though we might not have a Harambe McHarambeface YET, you can still show your support and buy your "McHarambeface" t-shirt here:

Chvrches dedicated their song "Under the Tide" to Harambe while a Red Sox fan ran on the field in a "Harambe 69 Jersey" at Fenway Park on Sunday night:

Done in loving memory of Harambe #RIP

Not to be outdone though, an awesome Cincinnati school has made Harambe their new mascot for the football team, and decided to dance and drag a kid around during a game to celebrate "Harambe style" in front of a ton of soccer moms to glorious extent:

I don't know who made the final decision on this one--in the town that Harambe died in--but these kids kick serious ass for going this far!

Never change, you crazy gorilla-loving bastards. Never change.

The Cincinnati Zoo is trying to put the drama of Harambe behind them by asking the Internet to "Stop making memes of our dead gorilla."

So, in honor of the "retirement" of the Harambe Meme, here are some of our favorites:

The zoo might "not be amused," but we sure as hell are! RIP Harambe.
