Every now and again we're lucky enough to come across the work of a talented artist otherwise flying under the radar---this is one of those times! Which one is your favorite? We love his take on the Avengers!
Joker memes have been popping off for longer than the film's been released, and they seem to just keep on coming. These specific Joker memes have a pretty seriously emo vibe. They use an image of Arthur Fleck smoking a cigarette, accompanied by the text "You wouldn't understand." The format has been lending itself well to melodramatic or petty feelings of being "misunderstood." While we would hate to run into these "marginalized" people in person, the memes are pretty damn entertaining.
A few crass and tasteless memes to edgily distract you from your pain. If you are feeling down in the dumps and like your worthless, just remember, I once asked Siri why I was single, so she turned on the front-facing camera. When you have a face not even a robot AI can love... But if you like the more political side of memes, then these hilarious politically-charged memes will be just what you need.
Oh, the humanity! We spend hours and hours trawling the deep corners of the web for fun stuff for you all to gaze upon. Every now and then, however, we come across pics or videos that make us wonder why we bother with this "life" thing at all. Here's some of the content that makes us wish the asteroid would hurry the f*ck up.
It's been eight years since Heath Ledger died from a lethal drug overdose. Heath Ledger's father recently sat down for an interview to discuss his son's truly tragic death.
“The last conversation Kate had with him was this discussion about his medications and she warned him, ‘‘You can’t mix drugs that you don’t know anything about’,” Ledger’s father Kim told news.com.au.
“He said ‘Katie, Katie, I’ll be fine’. Well, that’s a cavalier boy’s answer. It just put his whole system to sleep I guess,” Mr. Ledger said.
Heath's father went on to say that his son wasn't addicted to opioids--he just made the mistake of mixing the wrong drugs. And that Heath's chaotic work schedule had begun to take its toll on the actor.
“There is pressure on everybody, especially young people, to perform and to keep going. He was a young guy that travelled all the time for work. Even as a two-year-old, he hardly ever slept. He was trying to work and travel and do everything in a short space of time.”
RIP Heath Ledger you were a fiercely talented young man, taken from us all too soon.
And here I thought Jared Leto trying to go 'method' for Joker by sending in used and abused condoms and anal beads, was as bad 'n sick 'n twisted as it'd ever get; but nah, turns out actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje had something up his sleeve. Akinnuoye-Agbaje says, “I did a lot of research on cannibalistic habits from back to the Mayans and the Aztecs, right up to modern-day cannibals.”
He says he'd also watch a video of a Japanese cannibal, Issei Sagawa, who killed and ate a Dutch woman. He kept it on his phone so he could play it every day...uh. Can't even, right now. Can't even.
“As sick as it sounds, the moment I start to play that video, I’m in the form of Croc, because it’s really important for this creature to be thirsty for flesh, even when he’s around The Squad.”
Suicide Squad hits theaters August 5th. Check out the trailer below:
This Killing Joke covers what's widely accepted as the origin of the Joker and some of the events that lead up to Barbara Gordon (Batgirl) becoming paralyzed (after which she eventually becomes Oracle). There's also a featurette with more explanation on the origin of the story and the people working on this movie:
