Canada's dreamy new prime minister, Justin Trudeau, will be the first prime minister to walk in Toronto's Pride Parade.

He was also part of the parade last year as a candidate.

This year's theme is "You Can Sit With Us".

Such an inclusive statement is very fitting to accompany the year a Prime Minister who has made headlines by creating a diverse and gender equal cabinet walks in the parade.

lgbt A Conservative Group Tried to Shut Down an LGBT Friendly Prom, Ended up Throwing Them a Prom for Free

The Australian charity organization Minus 18 planned on throwing a small formal for teens in Victoria who are "same sex attracted and gender diverse".  The idea behind this was to give students who don't necessarily fit the "norm" a chance to have a prom night where they feel safe to be themselves. The event description says it best:

Imagine being told by your school that the clothes you feel comfortable wearing to a formal aren’t considered ‘normal’ or don’t conform to a dress code. Imagine not being allowed to take a partner of the same sex, or being too afraid to attend altogether.

It’s a sucky reality for gender diverse and same sex attracted students from all over Australia, who are bullied or made to feel unsupported because of their identity. That’s what the Same Sex Gender Diverse Formal is all about; you, me and heaps of other students having the night of our lives.

Sounds like a great idea but a local conservative group did not think so. It would seem that this group, which is literally called "STOP Safe Schools" and has the most dour logo possible, has no idea what the meaning of irony is.

via STOP Safe Schools

This lovely group of people who seem intent on shielding their children from all that is good in the world, like rainbows, decided it was their duty to stop such a blatantly open and accepting prom night. So, they asked everyone to buy up all the tickets and not show up, then it would have to be canceled, right?

via STOP Safe Schools

The people involved in STOP Safe Schools apparently did buy tickets, and lots of them. Micah Scott, chief executive at Minus 18 told The Age that they suspect the STOP Safe Schools group bought all of the cheaper, early bird tickets. He said, "The purpose of those was to provide young people with an opportunity to get in with a cheap option ... but unfortunately it looks like it has all been snapped up by this conservative group."

Fortunately, this inspired people to donate to the formal on a crowdfunding site. So far they've reached $45,175 of their $15,000 goal.  So instead of being cancelled, the formal will go on as planned. And thanks to the people who tried to have it canceled and their non-refundable donation of tickets, it will go on for free.

Language Warning: Some angry participants let a few choice words fly when they find out about the twist.

The fictional Boss Quoss, an openly gay rapper, hired a bunch of extras to lend him a hand in making his latest video. They took off their shirts, danced close to each other and even participated in a choreographed dance that was obviously just the "jerk-off" motion but none of them suspected a thing.

When the big reveal happened some people walked away from the set, others stood behind Boss Quoss. A number of extras were very nice and offered words of support before continuing with the shoot.

Here's the actual music video for those of you waiting to see the finished product:

Dolls—they're not only for girls!

In a first for toy company Mattel, a advertisement for a new Barbie features a boy.

The limited edition Moschino Barbie is outfitted in the fashion design house's clothes, and is a parody of an ad that ran in the 1980s. The young boy, who proclaims the doll "So fierce!" represents American fashion designer Jeremy Scott.

Scott told CBS News why a boy was chosen for the ad:

"When I dreamed up the concept for the Moschino Barbie fauxmercial, I felt it was natural to have a little boy representing for all the little boys like myself who played with Barbies growing up," Scott said in an emailed statement. "Barbie was more than a toy -- she was a muse!"

Boy or girl, Moschino Barbie ain't cheap. The fabulous dolls are going for $250+ on eBay.

Actor James Franco stripped down yesterday on the set of his new gay adult film biopic King Cobra, and things got steamy.

Franco's production company is producing the film, which is based on the 2007 murder of gay adult film maven Bryan Kocis. He appeared on Instagram next to actor Keegan Allen, clad only in a pair of skimpy underwear.

The crime at the center of the film happened in 2007 when Harlow Raymond Cuadra (below left), and Joseph Manuel Kerekes (below right) murdered Kocis, owner of Cobra Video.

They tried to lure Corrigan away from Kocis, police say.

Christian Slater will play Kocis alongside actress Molly Ringwald.

Kentucky Clerk Still Refuses to Give Marriage Licenses Even After Supreme Court Intervenes

UPDATE:

The Kentucky clerk defiant in her opposition to marry same-sex couples has been jailed for contempt of court.

Kim Davis was taken into federal custody today after a hearing with Judge David L. Bunning, another legal defeat for the clerk who has said issuing same-sex marriage licenses violates her religious convictions.

"The court cannot condone the willful disobedience of its lawfully issued order," the judge said. "If you give people the opportunity to choose which orders they follow, that's what potentially causes problems."

The judge said Davis would be released once she follows his original order to issue marriage licenses.

Until then—we hear that Orange is the New Black, Kim.

ORIGINAL POST:

"Under God's authority," is the reason Kentucky clerk Kim Davis continued to refuse to issue any marriage licenses today.

Hours after the Supreme Court refused to intervene on her behalf, Davis met with one gay couple and told them she would still not issue marriage licenses because of her religious convictions.

The clerk has not issued any marriage licenses since the marriage equality Supreme Court ruling in June. And her battle through the courts has drawn a national audience.

"I've asked you all to leave. You are interrupting my business," Davis is heard saying before walking back into her office.

After the blood-boiling encounter, lawyers for the same-sex couple who originally sued Davis filed a motion to find her in contempt of court. The motions seeks fines and not jail time.

Just a reminder: Kim Davis has been married four times. Just let that sink in.

Caitlyn Jenner introduced herself to the world on Monday by appearing on the cover of “Vanity Fair,” breaking the internet and winning practically everyone over with her new look.

And on Tuesday Mike Huckabee also started making waves online… for being a total creep.

At the National Religious Broadcasters Convention back in February, the former Arkansas governor was discussing the issue of gender identity, when he made an offensive joke that mocked people who are transgender.

“Now I wish that someone told me that when I was in high school that I could have felt like a woman when it came time to take showers in PE,” he said. “I’m pretty sure that I would have found my feminine side and said, ‘Coach, I think I’d rather shower with the girls today.'”

World Net Daily uploaded the video to YouTube this past weekend, so it just started to get national attention this week.

Any sliver of a chance he had a becoming president just went down the drain with that punchline.

Meanwhile on Twitter, the Huckabee jokes are top notch.

A Michigan pastor named Rev. Matthew Makela (who is married with 5 kids) resigned this week from St. John’s Lutheran Church after he was caught cruising Grindr for men.

An anonymous source sent some screenshots of some of his chats to the gay news site Queerty, who exposed his hypocrisy to the church as well as the rest of the world.

In the conversations, he says he “loves making out naked,” “oral and massage,” and he reveals that he is a “top.”

Of course he probably just meant “top Biblical scholar,” right?

As Queerty points out, outing his private gay sex life is important here, as he has been an outspoken, anti-gay voice in his church and online.

He has compared being gay to being an alcoholic, and accused the transgender movement of assisting “opportunistic sickos.”

Queerty writes:

If Makela made even one LGBT kid at St. John’s “Christ-based” elementary school, their parents, friends, family or anyone who ever stepped foot in the church feel like being true to yourself is shameful (and it seems all too likely that he did), then we’re glad to share his hypocrisy with the world.

A senior pastor at the church posted the following statement in response to the story.

“The details of sin that have been kept confidential are being posted online by those who seek to do harm to the Makela family and to St. John’s,” writes Rev. Daniel Kempin. “This is taking an already difficult situation and making it even more painful.”

His profile on the church’s website has since been deleted from their staff page, and St. John’s is telling people not to pay attention to the story. Their Facebook page has also been deleted.

It appears they are trying to erase his online presence and pretend none of it ever happened.

Because if there’s one thing to learn from all this, burying the truth is clearly the best solution.

Anti-gay protesters were picketing outside the Carolina Rebellion rock festival at the Charlotte Motor Speedway earlier this month, so one of the attendees decided to pull a clever little prank on them.

The concert goer noticed that the website they were promoting on their signs, WarningsofWrath.com, had expired, so he/she purchased the domain.

The prankster then redirected it to an extremely WARNING gay pr0n site called “ScaryF-ckers.com.”

This isn’t exactly in line with their message, but it’s sure to spark some wrath among the group.

A “pastor” with “Warnings of Wrath” has a Blogger account with a post that explains the meaning behind their name, and that page also currently includes a link to the pr0n site.

Hijacking domains as a form of protest has been happening a lot lately, particularly with theRepublican presidential candidates who failed to secure all of their domains before announcing their candidacy.

Here we go again.

Brian Klawiter, the owner of Dieseltec auto repair shop in Grandville, MI declared on the business’Facebook page Tuesday that they will not serve gay people because “homosexuality is wrong, period.”

From the post:

Enough is enough. Our rights as conservative Americans are being squashed more and more everyday. Apparently if you are white (or close to it), you have a job, go to church, and own a gun… That translates into racists, privileged, bigot, conspiracy theorist. Too many of us say nothing. Well, freedom of speech isn’t just for Liberals, THEY are the ones that need to learn to “co-exist”, THEY are the ones who need to WORK to be “equal”

So if you’re looking for a lube job, gays, look elsewhere, because Mr. Klawiter is not going to service you. Even if you have one of these sexy problems listed on his website.

Is your Duramax smoking? Does your Powerstroke not start when it’s hot? How about your Cummins, is it putting down the power it could be?

In fact, if you are gay and bring your car in for repairs, he jokes that he will put your vehicle together with all bolts and no nuts and you can see how that works.”

It might sound like a threat, but he later clarified his comments.

The bolt and nut thing was a reference to physiology, bolt penis and nut v@gina. I DID NOT threaten to purposely put a vehicle together wrong to harm someone.

WARNING gay bolt pr0n below.

While gays are not welcome, he says that guns are encouraged. He is offering a special deal to anyone who brings a firearm into his shop.

And as with the Memories Pizza debacle, the company’s Yelp page has already been inundated with negative reviews and humorous comments.

But don’t think about raising hundreds of thousands of dollars on a GoFundMe page for the poor guy, because he won’t take it.

“I also am not asking for anyone to do the gofundme postings,” he wrote. “We are a successful business and are blessed to be able to feed our families. If there is any money raised it will be redistributed to people with greater needs than ours.”

Here are some highlights from Yelp so far.

“Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling revealed that Albus Dumbledore was gay back in 2007 at Carnegie Hall, but apparently some fans still can’t seem to wrap their heads around it.

On Twitter Tuesday, a girl named Ana Kocovic reached out to Rowling and asked about the decision to make the Hogwarts headmaster a homosexual.

“Thank you so much for writing Harry Potter,” Kocovic wrote. “I wonder why you said that Dumbledore is a gay because I can’t see him in that way.”

And just like magic, Rowling responded with the most perfect tweet ever.

The girl ended up thanking her and apparently deleting all of her tweets. Her profile now says her name is Gellert Grindelwald, whom Rowling previously said was Dumbledore’s love interest.

“Amazing answer,” she replied. “Yes you are absolutely right. Such an inspiration!”

Australian musician Axel Winter was getting ready to perform at Sydney Mardi Gras last weekend, when he noticed a man with a Bible spewing anti-gay rhetoric on the street.

“He was saying hateful things towards gay people themselves. He said at one point ‘today is the day that god hates you most,'” he told Gay Star News.

So he decided to fight back, by drowning out the man’s words with music.

Axel and some other musicians near the Pitt Street Mall set up their things and started playing Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” as the crowd cheered them on.

At one point he even took some liberties with the lyrics singing “some boys take a beautiful boy and they hide her away from the rest of the world.”

The plan worked, and eventually the preacher left.

Winter says he was raised a Christian, but he thinks everyone should be treated with respect.

“Thank you Sydney for taking a stand for equality,” he wrote on Facebook. “Whether you’re homosexual or transgender or even just confused, you’re still my friend.”

YouTube personalities Austin and Aaron Rhodes (aka “The Rhodes Bros“) decided to finally come out of the closet to their family and friends in 2015.

In this heartwarming video they call up their father, and tell him they are gay for the very first time.

There’s a lot of stalling and a lot of tears before they finally build up the courage to do it, but when it’s all said and done, he is very supportive.

“You know I love you both,” he says. “That’ll never change.”

The brothers said afterwards that they had never been so nervous in their life, but now feel a huge weight has been lifted off of their shoulders.

“We hope by our actions today you can finish watching this video feeling encouraged and inspired,” they write to their viewers.

Forget hurricanes and earthquakes, a gay avalanche is coming and we need to be prepared!

A writer for The Christian Post wrote an op-ed last week called “Are You Aware of the Avalanche of Gay Programming Assaulting Your Home?”

In his piece, he criticizes a number of gay celebrities as well as gay-themed TV shows and films including Michael Sam, Anderson Cooper “Glee,” “Modern Family” and “Foxcatcher.”

“The indoctrination and propaganda coming from those advocating a gay lifestyle in our country, classrooms and culture are increasing,” he writes. “We are being bombarded!”

His suggestion is that we only watch shows like “Little House on the Prairie,” and “I Love Lucy” to combat this “tidal wave of unprecedented evil.”

He also targets Ellen in particular saying:

“Ellen DeGeneres” celebrates her lesbianism and “marriage” in between appearances of guests like Taylor Swift to attract young girls.

So on her show this week, Ellen responded to the online criticism, which she says she usually just ignores.

“If you ask me, Larry’s watching a lot of gay TV,” she joked, proceeding to discuss her real agenda.

“Larry the only way I’m trying to influence people is to be more kind and compassionate with one another. That is the message I’m sending out.”
