It's an exciting time for Skipper and Ping, two male Emperor penguins who live at the Berlin zoo. They have been longing for an egg of their own and now, they finally have one. This is by no means the only gay penguin - or animal - couple in the world, but that doesn't make their story any less special. Here it is.
Every now and then we witness something or hear a story that crushes our pessimism and makes us believe that true love is real. Rosey Blair was on a flight home with her partner when she bore witness to one of these exact situations. And lucky for everyone at home, she live-tweeted the entire, nauseatingly cute experiences.
Cats can be a**holes, and most of the time, they are (aside from those rare moments when your cat shows you affection and it feels like clouds in the sky are parting to reveal the sun shining behind them). But despite the standoffish, b*tchy behavior and simply mean things cats can do, we always gave them benefit of the doubt. 'They can't understand us', we reason. 'If they did understand, they wouldn't act this way.' Well, I'm really sorry to burst your bubble and possibly ruin your relationship with your cat, but I've got some news for you: cat's DO understand you and cats are MEAN. At least that's what the latest science says.
Damn, it has been a week. But really, every week is a week. Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the tragic shootings in El Paso and Dayton. Our hearts go out to everyone that hurts every day. The world is often a cruel place, and we're in the mood for some happy, wholesome pics to let us do a little healing.
Gotta love weddings. Nothing says everlasting love like photoshopping yourself and your betrothed as centaurs. Y'know, for love. If not a half horse body, how about a genie? Maybe instead of photoshop, you'd like to throw some chickens in the air? We think these folks are onto something, and we'd like to see more people treat their weddings with more absurdity.
After nearly 40 years, Carrie Fisher, who plays Princess Leia in the Star Wars films, has finally come forward with the news we have always hoped to hear: She and Harrison Ford aka Han Solo had a whirlwind love affair on the set of Star Wars. Even more importantly, Star Wars fans have another piece of useless trivia to deliver when talking bout their favorite movie.
Star Wars fans have undoubtedly always suspected that something was going on between these two actors, judging by the palpable will-they-won’t-they chemistry they brought to The Empire Strikes Back. “It’s fun to know that that was real,” Star Wars fans will probably say after telling you about this fling Carrie Fisher had on the set of a movie about space samurai.
“It was so intense,” Carrie Fisher told People. “It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend.”
*Sigh* That’s just the kind of thing us Star Wars fans were hoping for: Another fun, yet unnecessary detail to pour over. This is up there with Harrison Ford ad-libbing his infamous “I know” line from The Empire Strikes Back or the original name of Return of the Jedi, “Revenge of the Jedi.”
Fisher decided to reveal her secret after discovering some old set diaries. Star Wars fans would probably kill to see what other unknown treasures lay in those pages. Maybe there’s something about Mark Hamill’s onset behavior. Was he anything like Sir Alec Guinness? Did you know that Guinness didn’t actually like being in Star Wars and thought that the whole thing was a bit silly?
Oh, ok. Never mind.
Hey, did you know that Endor was almost the Wookie planet of Kashyyyk?
Yalonda and Kayla Solseng are true princesses in love.
They captured their love, Disney-style, in a princess-themed engagement shoot in Glyndon, Minnesota, showing their love for the TV show "Once Upon A Time."
They started dating two-and-half years ago, and happily got hitched on September 3rd.They hope their story inspires other couples to create their own fairy tales, no matter the sexual preference.
"Gay marriage has been legalized in the U.S. for over a year and we hardly have gay or lesbian characters in children's movies ― let alone them being main characters," Yalonda said. "Kids want to be the characters they grow up with but when none of the characters represent you, then you feel alone. I want our photos to be shown to kids and families as a way of saying it's okay to be who you are. It's okay to be with the person you love."
This couple was spotted by many passing tourists and travelers expressing their 'love' for each other in Barcelona’s Liceu station. According to the Mirror, when police arrived to break it up, they told them "go away, don't bother us." It seems pretty straightforward, they just couldn't wait to get a room. Their motivations were unclear though, they may have been drunk and let their passion get the best of them. Apparently, the incident is still being investigated because IT COULD HAVE BEEN A PRANK?
That or this is the most unbelievable use of "it's just a prank, bro" in recorded history.
Master Seaman Francis Legare won a raffle to be the first off the ship to kiss someone he loves as part of a navy homecoming tradition. When his ship HMCS Winnipeg docked in Victoria, Legare gave a kiss to his partner, Corey Vautour. In this case, it was a kiss that made Canadian history by being the first same-sex kiss between men.
This isn't the first same-sex kiss shared in the Canadian Navy ever. That honor goes to a female member of the navy and her partner in 2015 at CFB Esquimalt, according to The Star.
