Last we checked on the Batkid, a young boy whose Make a Wish Foundation gave him a day to clean up the streets of San Fran as the Dark Knight, he was in training for his big day (undoubtedly brushing up on his martial arts and polishing some batarangs). As of today, he's saved a damsel in distress, put the Riddler behind bars, and will soon be receiving a key to the city from the mayor himself. Check out more live updates here!

UPDATE: Watch the ABC News coverage of crowds of people cheering on Miles as he comes to the rescue as Batboy!

A security camera in an alleyway of Ninghai in China's Zhejiang province captured this heart-stopping footage of mail couriers catching a two-year-old toddler after she fell from the fifth floor of a building. According to BBC and other news reports, the delivery men took notice of a little girl dangling from a window above after hearing her cries and promptly responded by cushioning her fall with outstretched arms. Two of the men suffered injuries from the impact, but the little girl managed to escape with just a minor wound on her face.

Back in April, at the request of his 87-year-old grandfather, Redditor stevieboy1984 turned to the /r/PicRequests subreddit to see if anyone could clean up a scanned JPEG image file of his grandfather's World War II-era photo taken during his service in the Navy as a submarine sonar/radar operator. After a number of people offered their photoshop wizardries to help its restoration, stevieboy1984 showed his grandfather six variations before handing him a framed version of top commenter unhi's submission. Here's a video of the big reveal. Grab a box a tissues, manly tears are coming.

A tourist's snapshot of a New York City cop helping out a homeless man has gone viral, making the 25 year old NYPD officer Lawrence DePrimo an Internet hero. The photo, which shows DePrimo handing over a pair of boots to a barefoot man, was taken by Jennifer Foster, a visitor from Arizona who happened to be walking by the scene and noticed the random act of kindness, and posted to the Facebook page of NYPD on late Tuesday. In the past 72 hours, the image has gained more than 525,000 likes and 40,000 comments. For the interview footage with both DePrimo and Foster, head over to NBC Today.
