Two bank robbers get arrested after posting pictures of themselves with the money. Like idiots.

Bonny and Clyde, they ain't.

A couple of very smart people bragged about their Aug. 24 Asheville, Ohio bank robbery by posting pictures on social media with the wads of cash they took from the bank tellers.

This is obviously not a smart idea.

According to Sostre News:

Police were helped in their investigation by the clear images showing John Mogan and Ashley Duboe hamming it up with their fortune in greenbacks. Four days after the robbery, they began posting photos of their loot, and one friend complained that Mogan " didn't hook a brother up."

Mogan and Duboe were arrested this week for the August 24 robbery. Police say they gave a note to the teller in the Ashville bank, and walked out with a tall stack of bills. He looks nervous on the surveillance video, but in the days after the heist, they both looked gleeful on their Facebook postings.

Apparently, Morgan had just gotten out of state prison for an earlier bank robbery. He put on make up to disguise his face and neck tattoos. But sadly, nothing could disguise his stupidity.

Selfies have proven more dangerous than sharks in 2015.

Put the selfie stick down.

There have been a lot of global deaths this year connected with selfies. And with the death of a 66-year-old Japanese tourist trying to get a picture of himself at the Taj Mahal, it brings up a whole lot of questions about why we are risking our lives to get these snapshots.

The Guardian had compiled some of the stories behind these unfortunate deaths in trying to answer the larger question of 'why?'.

The incident now takes the death toll of officially recorded selfie-related deaths to 12. Previous incidents this year include a man who was gored to death taking a picture during a bull run in a Spanish town, and two men who accidentally blew themselves up in the Russian Ural mountains when posing with a live grenade. The picture was discovered saved to the camera roll on one of the men's phones.

Other selfie related deaths this year in Russia alone include a 21-year-old woman in Moscow who shot herself in the head while pointing a 9mm pistol at her temple, another who reportedly fell from a bridge and a teenager in Ryazan who died when coming into contact with live wires while snapping a portrait near to railway tracks.

They mention that 'hundreds' of injuries led Russian authorities to compile a nation-wide safety campaign to increase selfie awareness.

Mashable put their best accountants on it and found out that our vain exploration to take pictures of ourselves has caused more death than sharks.

They have a helpful chart to accompany the information.

What the hell is happening?

Why can't you people control yourselves?

Keep it together, world.

In her latest video, Megan takes viewers on a tour of a cafe that prints selfies on edible lattes. The cafe is called "CaFace," which is just almost too clever.

First the selfie...

And then it's time to destroy your face...

Never change, South Korea. Never change.

William Shatner put out a call to action from all the Trekkies in the world Aug. 1, asking them to take a selfie of Spock's famous salute.

He didn't say what it was for, only that it would be a tribute to the Leonard Nimoy, six months after the actor's death.

Shatner also spoke out on his Who Say page asking for the same thing, without giving a hint as to what he would do with the collection of photos.

On the evening of Aug. 9, he shared what because of all the fan selfies:

The mosaic uses over 6,000 selfies from fans throughout the globe, honoring the late Mr. Nimoy with the 'Live Long and Prosper' salute.

The tribute was also done for the charitable scavenger hunt organization Gishwhes, which is run by Supernatural actor Misha Collins.

Additionally, Shatner tweeted that the mosaic had been submitted for a Guinness World Record. He didn't specify which one, exactly. Most selfie Spock? Best Leonard Nimoy tribute? Most feels on a Monday?

Regardless, it's great.

Wait for it… the singing isn’t the only thing that blows.

Four friends were having the time of their lives on a little road trip singing Player’s “Baby Come Back,” when one of the tires exploded ruining everything.

Fortunately no one was hurt, but they appear to be a bit shaken up by the incident.

And despite the selfie stick disaster causing the camera to spiral out of control, they still managed to get their 15 minutes of fame on YouTube.

Phew!

“We’re not posting that video,” one of the girls says at the end.

Famous last words.

It may be the "Year of the Selfie" but a certain Decepticon is having none of it.

In an epic rant with a girl a Universal Studios, Megatron perfectly sums up everything that is wrong with social media and a generation of people addicted to their phones.

"You will not receive a selfie so long as you stand before me with your ridiculous furred hoodie!" he says. "When will you learn that your status updates mean zero-to-nothing to anyone, ever! It doesn't matter which social network you post it on. Worthless! Use your mind. Create new memories. Interact."

Truer words have never been spoken.

Now, Olivia Muus, a designer and marketer from Denmark, has merged the two types of media into something new entirely: the portrait selfie.

Surely, this was the original artist's intent.

This Australian Guy Recreates Women's Tinder Profile Pics With Hilarious Results

People on Tinder can take themselves too seriously. That's why it's so refreshing, and hilarious, to see Jared Allen, an Aussie guy with a beard and a whole lot of free time, taking the piss out of women's pictures on Tinder. And these pictures are fantastic. For scientific purposes, obviously. But judging whether you want to date someone by a photo and a bio is a little weird. If you think that the world of dating has become messed up in the recent years, we agree with you. That's why it's so good to see someone making fun of it.
