Lousy Liars That Got Called Out Online

These liars just keep coming out of the woodwork. For whatever reason, a ton of people that use the internet have convinced themselves that other folks don't know any better when it comes to fact checking. On top of that, some of these lies are just plain lousy. Fortunately, we have our fair share of people who are ready to shine the light of truth on all the fabricated nonsense.

Pet Shaming At Its Finest (38 Pet Shames)

"Shame, shame, shame"

We love our pets but sometimes (and most of the time), they do things they shouldn't and need to shamed... publicly. We love that last part because otherwise, we wouldn't get gems such as these! We also wouldn't hear about how there are others with pets who are making their lives just a tad more difficult.

Man, oh man, do we love all pets.

Let's be honest with ourselves though, they sort of deserve this shaming:

pet shaming cats dogs funny lol animals cute aww pets | I SAT ON MY BABY SISTER AND STOLE HER BREAKFAST AND DO AGAIN lizard | HAD VERY MESSY POO- SAT ON MUM's FACE STRAIGHT AFTER.

Shame: is there a better sales tool?

If you’re not sure people will buy your cellphone, car, or piece of fruit, why not convince them that they’re bad if they don’t? Make them feel embarrassed or stupid. It just works. Shame sells.

That’s what Sodastream, the makers of a sparkling water machine, is doing, and they’re using your favorite show, Game of Thrones, to shame you.

Recreating Cersei Lannister’s walk of shame through King’s Landing, Sodastream enlists the help of Game of Thrones’ Thor Bjornsson (the Mountain) and Hannah Waddingham, who steps back into the role of Septa Unella, bell and all and shames a consumer for buying bottled seltzer at the store, like a real jerk.

via Mess Bog

Here’s a rundown of this perfectly normal, not crazy at all advertisement:

Like in Game of Thrones, Septa parades a person through the streets shouting “Shame” and ringing her bell. Only instead of shaming this consumer for political espionage and crimes against god, he’s shamed for buying bottled seltzer and crimes against “Mother Earth.” Septa chases the consumer back to the GoT set, where he meets the Mountain, who Mountain-splains the effects of plastic bottles on and the bounties of the environment, like peanuts! Then, back in his trailer, the Mountain sees the actress Hannah Waddingham taking off her Septa costume and is taken by her beauty. All in all, great commercial for a seltzermaker thingy.

via Dussenberg

Anyway, we should all be very ashamed of ourselves for even considering buying bottled seltzer over a Sodastream because peanuts.

Based on their YouTube page, it looks like this is just the beingging of a whole sorted love affair between Septa and the Mountain, so get ready to feel weird for a while.

Enjoy this insane commercial!

National Health Services (NHS) worker Kara Florish took to Twitter to document receiving a body-image shaming business card on London's Underground.

The card, which states to be from a group called "Overweight Haters Ltd", reads "fat" in large letters on one side. The other side contains a paragraph with a description of the "organization".

Writer Sean Thomas Knox witnessed a similar, separate body-shaming card incident, and tweeted about it's authenticity.

British Transport Police on Twitter are asking anyone with any information to get in touch with them.

Roosh V, creepy 'pick-up artist' and author of far too many books with the word 'Bang' in the title, did not meet many fans of his work over the weekend in Montreal.

He traveled to the Canadian city to hold a seminar on how guys can best try and trick girls to sleep with them. Only, the venue shut it down when they learned what the seminar entailed.

Then, it says in the MtlBlog story:

Here's where it gets good. Roosh decided to go out to a bar after his event, and that's when he had a beer pitched in his face. Then another and then yet another. The wonderful people at the bar then chased him out, yelling at him to "get the f*ck out of Montreal" but that's not where things ended. The patrons followed Roosh all the way back to where he was staying just to make sure he knew he wasn't wanted here.

After that, he had little hope of peace as Mtblog states that one of the girls who threw a drink on him posted this (although the website doesn't say where it was posted):

Karma came calling.
