Sign of Humanity of the Day: Two Kittens Caught on Brooklyn Subway Tracks

Two kittens ran onto subway tracks in Brooklyn, and the MTA halted trains for about an hour as workers tried to corral the felines, witnesses and officials said. MTA also shut off power to the area so workers could go down and try to coax the kittens into carrying cases.

It wasn't known if the kittens were strays or pets.

The 26-year-old singing nun Cristina Scuccia defended her song choice in an interview with Italian Newspaper Avvernire saying, "Reading the text, without being influenced by previous interpretations, you discover that it is a song about the power of love to renew people [and] rescue them from their past."

Scuccia added, "I'd like to see her face when they tell her it's a nun singing."
