In New York City, every subway conductor has to point at a certain area at each station to show that they've fully arrived and are paying attention. Yosef Lerner decided to help make this task a little less tedious and bring a smile to the faces of these conductors.
Two kittens ran onto subway tracks in Brooklyn, and the MTA halted trains for about an hour as workers tried to corral the felines, witnesses and officials said. MTA also shut off power to the area so workers could go down and try to coax the kittens into carrying cases.
It wasn't known if the kittens were strays or pets.

Just after midnight this morning, a mysterious shark corpse was found laying on the floor of a New York City subway train, with no witnesses or explanation as to how it got there. According to Gothamist, the shark seems to bear some resemblance to the baby sharks once sold in buckets on the subway last year, while some tin foil hatters speculate that this may have been some kind of bizarre viral marketing gimmick for Discovery channel's "Shark Week" series, which began on Sunday.
A video clip of Jay-Z striking up a casual conversation with an elderly passenger on the subway is making the rounds, following yesterday's release of the rapper's latest documentary "Where I'm From." The soft-spoken lady, who seemed to be unaware of who she was talking to, has been identified as Ellen Grossman, a 67-year-old Brooklyn-born artist.
