As the meme has matured, content creators are applying it to super specific, and sometimes nostalic, jokes. And you *know* that includes a Loss edit. Read 'em and weep, y'all.
Say what you will about the President, but there's no denying that his Twitter habits have given us hours of entertainment. His latest Twitter escapade was regarding Time Magazine's 'Person of the Year' issue. On Saturday President Trump tweeted "Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named "Man (Person) of the Year," like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!" Parodies from comedians such as Julia Louis Dreyfuss and Billy Eichner began pouring in, along with riffs on New Yorker cartoons. But finally, someone actually fixed Episode III, so that it’s watchable. You may remember about ten years ago, when the movie hit DVD, people were sharing a clip of the movie overdubbed in Mandarin with the English subtitles on, resulting in this in the Do Not Want meme.
Well, a YouTuber has decided to go back and overdub the whole movie with those subtitles, resulting in the official way we all have to watch Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith, or how it will forever be known Star War The Third Gathers: Backstroke of the West.

While we mourn the loss of Carrie Fisher, let’s also look back at what an amazing talent she was. An accomplished author, actor, and script doctor, who punched up the scripts for (Hook, Sister Act, The Wedding Singer, and more), Fisher started her career when she was just 19.
In memory of Fisher, Business Insider posted a real treat: Carrie Fisher’s audition tape for Star Wars. Watch her and a plain-clothed Harrison Ford deliver some dialogue, which was absolutely incomprehensible at the time. Think about it: This video was shot right before Star Wars and Princess Leia were household names, but you can already see the sparks that would make her and film such a cultural explosion.

While Disney has been happily jumping into their Scrooge McDonald-esque swimming pool of gold after the release of Rogue One, the rest of us are still watching Star Wars the old fashioned way. Apparently, the Mouse House has a 4K transfer of the Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope locked in the Disney Vault. But one man has seen it: Rogue One director Gareth Edwards. Help us, Obi Wan Kenobi, you’re our only hope.
Talking to Little White Lies, Edwards discussed his first day of work on Rogue One, and it’s definitely much better than sitting down with HR and learning the dress code. He got to watch A New Hope in pristine 4K. He says:
On day one, we were in Lucasfilm in San Francisco with Industrial Light and Magic and John [Knoll], our supervisor, he said that they’ve got a brand new 4K restoration print of A New Hope — it had literally just been finished. He suggested we sit and watch it. Obviously, I was up for that. Me, the writer, lots of the story people and John all sat down, we all had our little notepads, we were all ready for this. I’ll add that I’ve seen A New Hope hundreds of times. So I was sat there, ready to take notes and really delve under the surface of the film. You have the Fox fanfare, then scrolling text with ‘A long time ago…’, and then the main music begins. Next thing we knew it had ended, and we looked around to one another and just thought — sh*t, we didn’t take any notes. You can’t watch it without getting carried away. It’s really hard to get into an analytical filmmaker headspace with this film. It just turns you into a child.
This dude is just trying to make us feel bad.
Edwards doesn’t say whether this is the original cut or that one with that awful CGI Jabba the Hutt, nor did he mention whether this would ever see the light of day, but he did make our little Star Wars-obsessed lives green with envy.

Now this is the droid we're looking for.
In a desperate attempt to somehow get even more Star Wars into the world, people are digging up some real strange versions of the George Lucas classic. Chief among them is the 1982 Turkish pseudo-remake, Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam, or The Man Who Saves the World. Now that’s a title.
Great Big Story talked to film historian Ed Glaser, who spends a lot of his time hunting down bizarre, cheap-o remakes of some of Hollywood’s biggest hits. Glaser has seen, restored, and/or attempted to re-release weird foreign rip-offs and remakes, including Nigerian Titanic, Turkish Rambo, and Egyptian Rocky Horror Picture Show.
“The holy grail of these kinds of films is Çetin İnanç's The Man Who Saves the World, better known as The Turkish Star Wars,” he says. “I’ve never really seen anything like it. It’s a little bit like a fever dream.”
Now don’t get your hopes about this one. It’s not exactly the story of Star Wars. It just cuts some of Lucas’ footage into another weird movie about a half naked man and his sword. According to The Verge, “It, ahem, borrows footage from other sci-fi flicks, as well as music scores from movies like Raiders of the Lost Ark. More importantly, however, is its inclusion on Wikipedia’s list of the worst films ever made. That’s an honor that makes us dying to get ahold of it.”

Look on in terror at how powerful the Empire has become. Hope that it doesn’t treat your body like it treated Alderaan.

Over the weekend Rogue One: A Star Wars Story debuted to $290.5 million box office take. And yet, with a unicycle and a little fire, this Darth Vader made arguably a better movie.
Portland’s own Unipiper emerged last week to show off some more flaming bagpipes. Well, he’s back. Here we see Darth Vader unicycling the snow planet of Hoth. The flames are to protect him from the cold, so he doesn’t have to cut open a tauntaun.
